Peter Hoogenboom and Patricia Hemrich's Trip to Japan
These are just a few of the photos we took on our recent trip
to Japan. We left from Portland, Oregon on July 12 and flew to
Nagoya. We returned on July 20th.

This was one of the supporting structures within the Todaiji
Temple in Nara. The story goes that the hole in this support
was the same size as the nostril in the Buddha. Crawling through
it was supposed to ensure a long and healthy life. None of us
crawled through it. |

Another picture of Dirk and Sara. |

Before we left on our all-day bus tour of Kyoto, we noticed this
replica (in macaroni, no less) of one of the Gion festival floats. |
