A band (junior high school, I think) playing in downtown Himeji. They were playing in thanks to everybody for participating in a recent blood drive.
This is a display of the family crests of the lords who built or repaired the Himeji Castle.
A photo of Himeji Castle. Himeji castle was built over a period of about 300 years. It was started in 1333 by Norimura Akamatsu. A series of three moats were added by Terumasa Ikeda in 1601 and finished in 1609. A final set of buildings was added in 1628 by Tadamasa Honda.
