Here we are in Minneapolis, waiting for our flight to Salt Lake City. From there we flew to Portland, Oregon. From there, we flew to Nagoya.
This is a photo of the road (two-way for automobiles!) on our way to a hike up the mountain.
After arriving in Shinshiro at about 5:30 PM, we all sat down for dinner. Sumiko (2nd from left) had made an incredible and delicious sushi dinner. Pat and I were doing our best to be social and friendly and talkative and all that, but by 8:00 PM, we were losing the battle. We were just too tired to think, speak or see straight. We were fast asleep by 8:30 PM.
