We were catching the EuroStar train back to London in the afternoon, but we didn't want to head to the Gare du Nord station until absolutely necessary. It was lunchtime, so we bought a bottle of Beaujolais and two baguettes. Since we still hadn't visited Jardin Du Luxembourg, that's where we went. Behind Pat is the Palais Du Luxembourg, the location of the lower house of the French Parliament.

We got back to London at about 6 PM. We spent the night in a hotel on the north side of London (the Euston Square Hotel on the corner of Euston Road and Gower Road). We were catching a train to York from the King's Cross station in the morning, so we decided it would be good to stay near King's Cross (the King's Cross station was only one tube stop away.)

We didn't have a lot of time in York, so we quickly checked in and walked back in to town along the River Ouse. The first place we stopped was Clifford's Tower, the keep of York castle through the 17th century.

More information on York can be seen online at http://www.salvonet.com/yorkweb.
